There are many programs offered by service providers in Kingston and the surrounding area to help youth determine their career goals and options. Service Providers who provide career counselling include ACFOMI, Career Edge, Community Living Kingston & District, Community Living Lennox & Addington, KEYS Job Centre, March of Dimes, St. Lawrence College Employment Services, and Connections Adult Learning program.
St. Lawrence College also offers the CICE (Community Integration through Cooperative Education) program for those youth interested in post-secondary education opportunities.
Limestone District Secondary schools also offer Focus Programs offering students a chance to experience potential career areas. The Limestone District School Board and the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board are also in the process of introducing an online tool called My Blueprint that provides a comprehensive education and career/life planning program.
